Busan Workation Base Center / Photo = BCCEI]
Hoppers, together with the Busan Center for Creative Economy & Innovation (BCCEI), is holding the ‘GLOBAL BUSAN WORKATION with Hoppin’ event from September 1st to 29th.
‘Global Busan Workation with Hoppin’ provides workspaces and accommodation for approximately 80 foreign digital nomads visiting Korea.
Based on exchanges with local youth, the event plans to organize ‘W Day,’ a networking event to explore new business opportunities and share experiences.
It also includes tourism programs visiting Busan's major attractions such as Haeundae, Gamcheon Culture Village, and Jagalchi Market, as well as programs like Korean language classes and Korean food experiences.
Cho Jeong-hyun, CEO of Hoppers, stated, "By promoting Busan's rich workation resources to the world, we will be able to attract many digital nomads."
She added, "Hoppers intends to continuously develop workation programs that highlight Busan's characteristics to build a global workation hub in Busan."

Since 2022, the BCCEI has opened workation centers in districts with declining populations, such as Jung-gu, Dong-gu, Seo-gu, Yeongdo-gu, and Geumjeong-gu, and has been operating programs for participants to interact with each other.
Busan-style workation is available to both domestic and international participants.
Kim Yong-woo, Director of the BCCEI, said, "Busan-style workation allows for breaking away from rigid workspaces to enjoy Busan's beautiful natural scenery and high living convenience, while also making startup business possible."
